Mart: Great site  .These pics are not Hot Rods but I feel fit into the flavour of your site. The blue and white car is what the gold car started life as. They're 1958 FC HOLDENS.  Five years work in resulted in what you see here. Mods are too numerous too mention here. Runs a warm six and auto and rides on air .

HI MART ! Thanx for a WAY COOL site ! Enclosed a photo

HANG LOOSE ! ...... KLAZURFER.

Mart, I built the Willys in 7-1/2 months.  I started with a specially ordered '40 couple from Outlaw Performance.  I wanted the gasser look without the hassle of the front leaf springs.  It has a Magnum Axle 4" drop with Alden coilovers up front with a Currie Ford 9" running 4.11 gears.  The motor is a '57 Chrysler 392 hemi.  Its been bored .030" over and dyno'd at 654 hp & 575 lb/ft torque.  It sports Vintage Air, ididit column, red leather wrapped Glide bench seat.
I got it on the road the first weekend in June '00.  Since then I've racked up over 16,000 miles.  Part of this was driving from Michigan, in August, to Bonneville Utah for the end of speed week.  We then cruised with the Rod & Custom magazine for their first annual Asphalt Ego-Rama.  Our 9 car cruise ended up in Pleasanton California for the Goodguys West Coast Nationals.  In all we drove just a little over 6,500 miles in 23 days.  Not bad for a blow hemi that gets just over 13 mpg on the freeway @ 70 mph.  My wife and I have had many hours of enjoyment with the Willys.

Mart,
Found your site quite by accident. I was linked here by Hoving.com. I live in Philadelphia, PA. USA. I really love your site. I have a 1931 model A Ford that has a small block chevy for power. The motor is a 327ci Vette mill that's basically stock. I'm also a photographer that shoots for a magazine called Car Kulture Deluxe. Used to be Hot Rod Deluxe but they didn't see the practicality of primer and they dropped the idea after only two issues. Look for a feature car I shot in the next issue of CKD. Keep up the good work!
